The Network Information Computer (NIC) is a portable test instrument for verifying and qualifying the performance of today's multi-service global communications networks.
With a flexible software/firmware- based architecture, the scalable NIC Plus combines in a single platform the multitude of traditional hardware-based test sets required to install, maintain, and monitor high-speed multi-protocol networks.
The NIC is available in one of three form-factors. A small 2 slot chassis for dedicated applications, a portable 5 slot chassis for high density and multi-port use and a rack-mounted embedded chassis.
Multi-layer, multi-interface portable tester supporting SONET/SDH, OTN, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, PDH, ATM and serial interfaces.
